HonorSociety.org Chapter Launches at The University of Texas at San Antonio

HonorSociety.organd The University of Texas at San Antonio recognize and celebrate the formation of Epsilon Chapter at The University of Texas at San Antonio officially formed on September 18, 2015. Active HonorSociety.org members joined together to discuss the mission of the honor society and the positive impact it will have on the university and its neighboring community. The chapter members attended their first meeting, which was led by the chapter president, Mariah Allen.

“We are excited that Mariah Allen is the 2015-2016 President of the Epsilon Chapter,” said Executive Director, Michael Moradian, “she continues to demonstrate involvement and passion for HonorSociety.org by her leadership during the member trip to Washington, D.C. and chapter initiatives on the UTSA campus.”

With the installation of the new chapter at the University of Texas at San Antonio, the chapter is actively planning upcoming event this semester including community service activities and networking events on campus and within the local community. Chapter board members are also planning initiatives to engage high school students through academics, leadership, and networking to help prepare them for college.

The Epsilon Chapter board members include President Mariah Allen, Vice President Jeishka Farinacci, Public Relations Chairperson, Sona Kaba, Member Success Chairperson Victoria Vaughn, Secretary Tinisha James, and Event Programming Chairperson Jesse Coppage.

Chapter president, Mariah Allen said, “We are proud to be a growing organization with great members and excellent ideas!”

The Epsilon Chapter board members are also planning initiatives to engage high school students through academics, leadership, and networking to help prepare them for college.

The mission of HonorSociety.org is the help its members maximize their academic, leadership, and networking skills in order to succeed academically and professionally. It is an inclusive honor society that is technology-driven and future facing. Members receive special ranking and recognition depending on their GPA standing as follows: 3.2-3.49 Honors, 3.5-3.79 High Honors, 3.8 and above Highest Honors.
