No, we’re not talking about a sunroof or premium sound system. The options we’re referring to came about with the historic $10 billion settlement of the FTC’s deception case against VW. The FTC alleged VW falsely advertised these cars as “Clean Diesel” vehicles after rigging them so that their emissions controls operated fully only during emissions testing.
